Amelia Jones is a commanding and expressive live performer, known for her crystal-clear tone, emotional depth, and captivating stage presence. She has appeared as a soloist with leading orchestras and ensembles, including the English Symphony Orchestra, Bristol Ensemble, Southbank Sinfonia, and The Fulltone Orchestra, bringing both technical brilliance and heartfelt interpretation to oratorio, choral, and symphonic works. Her performances span from Bach Cantatas and Handel’s Messiah to Faure’s Requiem and Howard Goodall’s Eternal Light. In the world of video game music, she was the featured soloist in PAX Aus UnderSCORE, performing to an audience of 5,000, and has taken the stage with The London Video Game Orchestra to bring beloved game soundtracks to life. A member of the internationally acclaimed vocal ensemble ANÚNA, Amelia blends classical purity with contemporary expression, creating a sound that is both timeless and deeply moving. She is also a co-founder of Sonaris Ensemble, where her passion for chamber music and video game scores finds a unique home. With an ability to connect with audiences across genres and settings, Amelia continues to establish herself as a versatile, sought-after vocalist in both the concert hall and the recording studio. Amelia is thrilled to be trusted by contemporary Australian composers when it comes to bringing their work to life. She has performed several premiere compositions in a choral and solo capacity, and has recently had the honour of premiering two songs tailored to her voice by Sydney based composer Alan Holley. First Light, an entirely a capella piece with poetry by the celebrated Mark Tredinnick, and The Clod and the Pebble with poetry by William Blake. Amelia had the honour of performing the World Premiere of Andrian Pertout’s song cycle Hypatia’s Circle, winner of the Boston Metro Opera ‘Mainstage Award’ 2013.
