Amelia Jones is a vocalist whose voice has captivated millions worldwide. Born in Wales and raised in Australia, she trained at WAAPA and the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, developing a versatile tone recognised for its power and emotional resonance.
Amelia’s work in video game music spans over a decade, featuring on titles such as Hollow Knight, Alan Wake 2, Slay the Princess, The Outer Worlds 2 and Nightingale. Her iconic vocals in City of Tears (Hollow Knight) have resonated with over 27 million listeners, and she recently collaborated with Sam Lake and Petri Alanko on End of an Era (Alan Wake 2). In 2024, Slay the Princess by Brandon Boone, featuring Amelia’s haunting vocals, won the World Soundtrack Award for Best Video Game Score.
With a three-octave range, classical training, and deep musical sensitivity, Amelia excels in layered harmonies, toplining, and improvisation from her home studio and beyond - bringing emotion and depth to game scores, film soundtracks, and contemporary compositions. She thrives in creative collaboration, working closely with composers to shape unique, immersive musical landscapes.
A long history as a live performer, Amelia debuted as the featured soloist in PAX Aus UnderSCORE, the first symphonic concert dedicated to Australian video game music, performing to an audience of 5,000, where she earned her place as a “strong voice in Australian Video Game Music” - ABC Classic. She has since appeared as a soloist with the Fulltone Orchestra, English Symphony Orchestra, Southbank Sinfonia, The London Video Game Orchestra, The National Philharmonic Orchestra of Great Britain and Bristol Ensemble.
She is a member of the legendary Irish vocal ensemble ANÚNA and the groundbreaking SYSTIR in the ANÚNA Collective led by Michael McGlynn - bringing early music, folk and contemporary choral sounds to audiences around the globe. In 2025 alone, Amelia travelled with these groups to China, Iceland, Finland, Ireland, Belgium, Germany and The Netherlands.
Amelia is a founding artist of Sonaris Ensemble, a virtuosic chamber quintet championing video game music in live and recorded settings - recently performing live at The Golden Joystick Awards in London and collaborating on an ongoing basis with the Guildhall School of Music.
Now based in the UK, Amelia regularly collaborates with composers, offering a voice that is both ethereal and powerful, capable of elevating storytelling across multiple genres.
